How do the images and the text support each other?
When I look at the text I thought it about the storm and tornado.
the whole town is going to be flood.
What does it mean when it says ‘Rain was pelting on the roof’?
It sound like the rain was raining so hard that they can’t even heard their self.
Why do you think Ama’s mother said she should hang on to her?
So they don’t get stuck flood and to be safe!, She young and she scary
For what reason do we think Ama grabbed her blanket?
She is young some kids like blanket so much. She is still young.
How old do we think Ama might be?
I think she might be only 4, and had cuddly blanket. Looking at the page she looks so young.
How would you feel if you were Ama from being at home relaxing on the couch to being rushed away while a disaster is occurring?
It would be a bit scary then confused.
Why did Ama and her mother cling to each other?
So they won’t let go of each other. So they won’t go different direction.
What had the road turned into? If you were in this situation what would you do? It turned into the muddy, I would hold my partner so tight that he won’t go off.
Who picked Ama up? If you were Ama and a stranger picked up, how would you react in such an emergency? If a stranger came and picked me up I would kick and the guy face.
Why would they being going to her grand parents house? Where is their house located? If a bit safer at the top of the hill. The House is located at the top of the hills.

There’s a flood, and we have to get out of the house” was shouting Ama house was going to be flood, and they try to run and they were holding tile but Ama slip off and she nearly drow and a man over the road came pick her up and now they're going to grandparents.
Why do you think Ama did not want her mother to leave her?
She don’t want her to get hurt and flood.
Why did Ama’s mother go off into the dark night while it was raining
