Math

Tessa has bought 40 mini chocolate bars to put in goodie bags at her party. She has 8 goodie bags. How many does she need to put in each?


40 half is 20
20 half is 10
10 half is 5

Answer: 5

Hmm not quite sure shy we have wild animals illustrating a problem about chocolate bars? Anyway, I wonder if you can think of another strategy you could use as well. You won't always be able to 1/2 the amounts easily. e.g. What if it was 45 chocolates shared out between 5 goodie bags?
